Logging Chains

They can be made of grade 80 chain or 100, with round or profile section and end with a special choker hook. In general, chains of grade 100 have 25% higher strength than grade 80, which makes a big difference in heavy working conditions. The grade 100 profile chain, in turn, is specially developed for logging and has even higher technical characteristics – an additional 20% higher strength than grade 100, or about 45% more in total than a standard grade 80 round-section chain! The profile chain also grips the material much better and allows safer, more secure extraction. The shape and high strength of the profile chain mean slower wear, even in very heavy working conditions. We recommend chain chokers made of grade 100 profile chain as the best possible solution for timber skidding worldwide! We have both types of chain in stock – round and profile, in two sizes – 8 and 10 mm, with the corresponding working load, as per the tables below.
