Elevator chains quality KU 4 and KU 5 to DIN 764/766
KU 4
Highly wear-resistant round-link chains stamped KU 4, made to DIN 764/766 from non-ageing special manganese steel, matched in pairs of equal length. Surface hardness over 800 HV measured 0.25 mm below the surface. Carburizing depth HTA 0.1 d±0.01 d. Case hardening depth EHT at 0.06 d over 550 HV up to 28 mm diameter; from 30 mm diameter upwards 0.05 d over 550 HV.
Proof stress 125 N/mm2, breaking stress 250 N/mm2.
KU 5
Highly wear-resistant round-link chains stamped KU 5, made to DIN 764/766 from non-ageing, corrosion-resistant chrome-nickel alloy quality steel, matched in pairs of equal length. Surface hardness over 800 HV measured 0.25 mm below the surface. Carburizing depth HTA 0.1d±0.01d. Case hardening depth EHT at 0.06 d over 550 HV up to 28 mm diameter; from 30 mm upwards 0.05 d over 550 HV.
Proof stress 150 N/mm2, breaking stress 300 N/mm2.
