KMD Standard Economy Roller Chains

KMD Standard is the economy chain brand of KMD Chain. These are standard drive chains for universal use. They are suitable for normal operating conditions under normal to medium loads. They are available as simplex to sextuplex chains to European standard DIN 8187 and American standard DIN 8188, as well as simplex chains to factory standards.

Since the end of 2017 a new, improved version of this standard chain series has been available.

KMD Standard Economy Roller Chains – image 4   Pre-stretching of the chains with a higher force, equal to 30–50% of the breaking load depending on size. This minimizes the possibility of later elongation during operation

KMD Standard Economy Roller Chains – image 5   A special grease/liquid oil combination is used for the initial lubrication of the chain. The liquid lubricant evaporates relatively quickly as the chain heats up during operation, but the grease keeps melting slowly and provides long-lasting lubrication even after the liquid lubricant has evaporated. This means less wear and a longer life
