Renold Blue – high-quality roller chain with excellent wear resistance
Unique control of the pin-bush contact ensures that chain wear is significantly lower than with other brands. An initial chain adjustment is required.
The high material strength gives up to four times longer service life than other chain brands, and the breaking load exceeds the requirements of international standards.
Wear resistance is significantly improved thanks to optimized pins, bushes and plates and quality control of the plate holes, which also extends the life of sprockets whose teeth precisely match the chain drive.
The special plate-hole treatment developed by Renold improves wear resistance and gives a longer life by protecting against wear. Additional shot-peening and pre-stretching of the chain extend its life considerably.
Specially developed lubricants reduce initial chain wear, protect against corrosion and ensure long service and shelf life. Renold pins are hardened, perfectly cylindrical and have extremely high surface hardness. The life of the various chain components is maximized thanks to expert heat treatment during production.

Plate shape
The plates have a wider waist, which improves stress distribution. Plate thickness is the maximum allowed within the limits of the Standard.

Compared to ordinary split bushes, solid seamless bushes give the chain greater strength, as the load on its working surface is distributed evenly over the bearing parts, which results in slower wear
